PA6 (2 day) knapsack spraying course

The workshop is being held at Congham Vineyard on 2012-05-24 00:00:00 to 2012-05-25 00:00:00, starting at 09:00 and finishing at 17:00.

This course will cover all legal requirements of using a PA6 sprayer including preparation, identification of parts and components, calibration, nozzle selection, air speed and direction, maintenance, cleaning etc.

You will need to provide your own set of personal protective equipment (which must display a CE mark), consisting of: Coveralls: can be a single piece suit or combination of garments, with or without hood, which covers the entire body, face shield. Nitrile gloves (minimum of 0.5mm thickness) complying with EN 374. Wellington or water-repellent boots with a good grip (preferably with steel toe cap protection).

Course notes will be provided but you will need to bring a notepad, pen and calculator (not a mobile phone) and stop watch. On the day of your course, you will need to complete an application form in order to take the assessment for NPTC certification, which is undertaken by an independent assessor, on a separate day.

This course takes place on 24 May 2012 at 9:00, at Congham Vineyard. It lasts for 8.

The standard fee for this course is £420 incl test. The subsidised price is £42 incl test.

Note: The trainer has specified the following prerequisites for this course: PA1. Bring own clean knapsack sprayer. PPE.

Brian Speed, from Southern Counties Training, has over 30 years experience as a trainer for pesticide use and is also an NPTC examiner. Brian has 10 years experience training with pesticide use and application in vineyards.
