Pesticide Application PA3

The workshop is being held at East Anglia - venue to be confirmed on 2012-01-17 00:00:00, starting at 09:00 and finishing at 17:00.

Max 4 trainees per course.
This one day course will cover all legal requirements of using a PA3 sprayer including; preparation of sprayer, identification of parts and components, calibration, nozzle selection, air speed and direction, maintenance, cleaning and storage.
Examination: assessment for NPTC certification, is undertaken by an independent assessor, on a separate day (to be announced). This is tractor based and takes 2-2.5hrs.
1. Trainees must complete PA1 course before taking the PA3 course.
2. This is a practical tractor-based course outside, please bring suitable clothing.
3. You will need to provide your own set of personal protective equipment (which must display a CE mark), consisting of: Coveralls: can be a single piece suit or combination of garments, with or without hood, which covers the entire body, face shield. Nitrile gloves (minimum of 0.5mm thickness) complying with EN 374. Wellington or water-repellent boots with a good grip (preferably with steel toe cap protection).
4. Course notes will be provided but you will need to bring a notepad, pen, calculator (not a mobile phone) and stop watch.
5. It is important that trainees are able to drive and operate a tractor safely

Brian Speed, from Southern Counties Training, has over 30 years experience as a trainer for pesticide use and is also an NPTC examiner. Brian has 10 years experience training with pesticide use and application in vineyards.
